Thanks.  Bookkeeping is a pain, but probably important at this stage.  Thanks for that, and of course for your work on the set.

Just a note:  credit for these things is cumulative, so to conform to the license you'll need to include the names of everyone who contributed.  This shouldn't be too difficult, since it's still early in the set's life and everything is documented.

Just a note:  you could

Just a note:  you could totally use open-source placeholder art for your pitch, and replace it later once you got some buy-in.

Just a note:  if you're after digitally painted assets like BlackCat or PK's, my tablet is in another city, so I can't help there.  Just pure pixel art at the moment.  Depending on the resolution you're after, it may be more affordable to go with digital painting since it doesn't scale quite the same as pixel art.  Do you have a good idea of what size you need?

Hello,

Hello,

This looks relevant to my interests.  It would probably be a bit time-consuming, but it could work.  What price range were you thinking?  Also, would you be open to dual-licensing under CC-By (this would help it be license-compatible with the larger set I've been working on.

Hehe, this is really cool!

Hehe, this is really cool!  Thanks for taking the time to expand it, and I appreciate your calling me a 'boss.'  I will note that it isn't a terribly accurate portrait of me (add several pounds, and the hair is starting to thin and it'd be closer) but this is still great.  Definitely not a disgrace.

Well, it's certainly

Well, it's certainly ambitious.  Maybe too ambitious, but I appreciate your determination to do it yourself and your willingness to use the open-source assets available.   Not to mention what you've already prodcued.  You seem to have a real knack for getting disparate assets to work together, and the game looks amazingly smooth.

So, best of luck to you!  The format for credit you used in the youtube video looked fine to me.  I hope you'll keep us updated on its progress from time to time.

I think it would be nice if we put some focus on expanding our current resources some (not necessarily to the exclusion of working on other projects, but yeah).  As it is, we have a number of sets which have quality assets, but not quite in the breadth or quantity really needed to make a game.  Perhaps I'm just thinking of the pixel art side of things, but that's kind of the pattern I've seen.  If the sets were more diverse and complete, they might be able to cover more developer's needs.

@Zabin:  I have all the current RPG enemies in (or close enough to) this style organized in this collection:  http://opengameart.org/content/side-on-pixel-art-rpg-enemy-sprites .  They're mostly by me, but there are a few collaborations and a few by Blarumyrran.  Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do; it's been waaaaay too long since my Dusk days.

Do you need them in pixel art or digitally painted?

Is your game going to be open source?

Thanks.
