I just got an email from Trent (Monster2 lead dev):
I have some more info about the Monster 2 assets. Two of the songs used were verbatim copies of songs I purchased from royalty free sites. I have had those replaced now and you can get the replacements at http://trent.gamblin.ca/temp/replacements.zip or in the next Monster 2 release.
As for the sound effects, the issues are mostly resolved. I contacted the sites I got the effects from and the first one has approved the BSD license and I'm still waiting to hear from the second. That leaves 3 sound effects, bow_draw.ogg, bow_draw_and_release.ogg (named differently in the present version of M2), and swipe.ogg that need to be verified. I'll let you know when I have more news on these 3.
PS: Also, I would suggest to not permit cc-xx-2.0 licenses at all. If there's some art under that license around, it'd be better if the 'harvesters' would ask for new version permission.
So my take on this would be to have the following license selection.
The idea is, that selecting "[ ] open source use only" will js/auto-select ccbysa/gpl2/gpl3.
I think I have to agree with cenian, who told me on IRC that the liecnses should be hidden away more. If the 'advanced' option is one click away, I'd have no reason to complain. How about a "[ ] advanced view" checkbox, which will java-scriptley make all the exact licenses appear and disappear?
Also the 'newer licenses permitted' should beonly seen in 'advanced' mode. 'Yes' would be default.
Google it, dood! :D
Ed2k/torrent are not as handy for small sets of content
Lol, I'm glad
Thankfully, this has been fixed now and the author will get filled in automatically now :)
In such a case, the submission can be updated.
If the old and new art are completely different though, the old art can be kept and the new one can be added in a new submission.

Neat, eh? :D
PS: the two songs are by Dan Evertsson
PPS: last questionable three sounds got replaced http://trent.gamblin.ca/temp/newsound.zip - author: trent
I updated the list to warn about old versions. Everything that is non-gray can be uploaded!
I like his glossy bold head :D
I would prefer that. Just make it a subforum?
