@Seraphim: you are already permitted to use any asset on this entire site in your game. There is no need to request permission. All you have to do is make sure you're adhering to the license terms. In this case (CC-BY) that means giving the author credit in your game's credit screen and credit file.
Yes. Similar to how I put all 6000 sprites into this one post instead of making 6000 individual posts with one sprite each.
No need to combine all your sprites into one spritesheet, though. Individual files are fine, but it makes it easier for people to find and download when all the files of a similar style are in the same place.
Seems like these sprites go well together. Would you be willing to combine them into one large submission instead of lots of tiny submissions with one sprite each?
Cohesive sets of assets tend to get noticed and favorited more. They also make the archive easier to search and find stuff.
Yes, CC-BY-SA 2.0 has a forward compatibility clause:

what were the various places along the trail? where did you find this specific spritesheet? I mean, what are the urls?
I don't know what that means

Delicious!
@Lanvay: You can use everything on this site in your game. See FAQ "Can I use the art I find here? How should I credit the artist?"
Why won't your game become released?
@buttons: lol! That got me.
