Like the cartoony-style. Bordered version looks much better imho.
Only feedback is that it's hard to tell if the lighter green on the head is supposed to be shading/light source or just the "natural" color of the alien? If a light source, maybe try to put a little more "glow" effect to it? If it's the "natural" color of the alien, maybe some kind of contour to make it clear that it's supposed to be skin?
Just splitting hairs on that stuff....really like the work overall!
Love your work. The "forest" and "playground" tilesets from "Open Gunner" are perfect for a fantasy setting and I can easily re-color the "background" tiles to make them more appropriate for these sprites.
Any chance of expanding this pack as well? Really only need a few more mobs -- orc boss and brigands (or maybe trolls) and you'll have the makings of an "Open RPG/Platformer" art pack.
