I have all the icons all over the place because I'm still umm figuring out what to do with them all !!!
For this is not a windows GUI interface where I can move windows around, because I don't know how to open up a windows gui screen in batch code yet to display all my game graphics in so it be possible for me to have sprites and animation in the game and possibly also scrolling my game screens, so i had to use the windows dos console instead to display my graphics in where everything is fixed and static.....
I think the Ravenmore's set will best suit the game for the diaglog text screen would look nice if I added this into my screens with the Pieces of Eight pirate font for the text diaglog.
The user interface is not there yet, but its slowly getting there............it looks nice in places, the overdrive stuff stands out ok, but overall its needs more work. The icons look dark and dreary at the start because the interface has been set up so when you obtain all the items and spells in the game, it all lights up like a christmas tree with nice bright colors..
As for the white lines, they were put there as guidlines to line up all the icons i hadn't removed them, I may have to turn them into thin white lines to tidy it up.
I've now added the Pieces of Eight font to the game Dialog text window for a test screen. Take a look at the link now. (Top Link). And what the game would've looked like if I went for a bigger screen size (Third Link).
You're the first one to tell me you want me to start off a game blog to explain my ideas for the game because nobody has given me alot of feedback yet on the things that I did write.
I still don't know what to call this game yet, I still don't yet have a title or logo for it........
Its bascially a static rpg open world final fantasy style hack'n' slash game, complete with many level progressions, If I knew how to do animation in a window console for the enemies I would, but I don't know how to do that in the main game screen because its not a 3d interactive environment.
The game is a little like SACRED athough there are no Seraphins, or Shadow Warriors, but its a Huge outdoor RPG hack 'n' slash exploration game, Thousands of Monsters to kill, as you level up the monsters get more stronger, as their HP and EXP will scale up as well when you level up... As you level up, you get the usual random enemy encounters of what you already had encountered... but also as you keep levelling up, new stronger enemies will start to pop up after a while in that same screen. You can also scale up your HP instantly by collecting hearts found at certain places and levels on the screen. Or you can just farm enemies to increase your HP per level.
So level 2-10 of the lighthouse screen in Forest Ends region may show just some turtles to fight as well as your usual random enemy encounters of other enemies, or the screen may appears all empty every once in a while when you go to that area. but go back to the same area agai and there's an random enemy encounter or if you reach a high enough level, a new enemy appears, , (a bit like Final Fantasy), but at level 12-15 may appear a grizzly bear to fight, and at level 20 you may find two or three grizzly bears to fight, and if you ge to level 30, A mini boss fight. So it pays to farm hearts to get your hp high as you can and more stronger monsters the higher you level up. as well as throwing in the random encounters of the lesseer enemies.
The same thing will be done with the random weapons drops as well to drop down certain weapons from time to time as you level up that you can't get in the stores. I may consider weapon upgrades according to level reached by giving pop-up notifications that a weapon upgrade is avaliable to buy at the store.
Or maybe if you kill 20 of the Cactus enemies, or kill th Cactus boss, you get the 3000 Needles weapon.
I dn't have a website link, but I do have some screenshots of what the game is looking like. '
I'm now starting to now asssemble together the map of the jungle region (still in development that's why there are pieces not lined up ). Altogether there is 5 months so far of work. There are Hundreds and hundreds of these screens for each region. As its a 12 region outdoor rpg dos level progression game I've developed about 5 regions of it so far. It is a hack 'n' slash turn based rpg exploration game.
The game lacks a 3d engine.
The Game Code is now over 308 thousand lines long. Just one big 18 meg file.
I don't even use DRM as I think DRM is used if you gonna put the game up on steam, so I might look at the other interface sets instead.
if I remove the magic spell icons down below, then there's plenty of space for those rectangle tab menus to go all along the bottom. of the screen.

This could be useful as a static rpg enemy in my non-commercial rpg game.
another quality village tune. This brightens the game immensely
