You did a wonderful job,

You did a wonderful job, impressive pixel art.

But the term "paletted" is kinda misleading, since there isn't a clear separation between clothes, fur, eyes.

There is a palette, true that, the image is indexed, true that, this allows to create many different themes, and that's wonderful, but there is another step furthere, wich is the separation: Making sure a color slot doesn't recur in different "materials" in the sprite

The image below is an example of an attempt to change the palette to a sprite where the color ramps aren't correctly "separated"

Really nice!!

It is so cute that i don't want to see it's gethit actions or deaths

Far be it from me to raise questions about semantics or standards, and i must admit that i hate it when semantics, indexing and validating is over 50% of the job, but for a single cel sprite i feel like invite to index and validate that single cel.

You show promise, but to fully dominate any art or discipline there must be a clear understanding that framing the pictures in a way there is no need for another graphic designer on the client's side is part of an illustrator's job.
If a client has got in his office somebody able to index the apple for you, they will simply give the task to their employee.

This very comment isn't mean to be a critic, or at least i'm trying to provide a constructive critic. Let me know if you want to learn how to index an image, usually i don't point out a problem when i don't have got the solution.

I indexed the apple, and since it doesn't take long, i added a EEE version with jumbled shadows, feel free to use them as your own submission.

You are very welcome.

You are very welcome.

I apologize if my observations sound like complaints, but i don't speak good english and altough i try to make some time to help with what i mean to be constructive critics...

The bad news: i don't have much time and energy to spend in semantics and ducal courtesy.
The good news: I guess other people is in the same situation, if something someone said can be read according to 2 meanings and one of them is offensive i assumed they meant the other meaning.

Great Job.

Great Job.

Sorry for pulling your sleeve
Friday, July 24, 2020 - 13:48

Sorry for pulling your sleeve, but my brain is mush and i'm as happy as a little kid. I must say to shout: Over 100'000 univoque cels!!! (well, there are still some more ten thousands to go. The size of this submission is something else!)

Thank you, but stay tuned,

Thank you, but stay tuned, this is only the beginning, this is going to be immense.

Also, if the overall style

Also, if the overall style requires the eyes to be clearly visible, the shadow between the eyebrows gives an overall neanderthal-ish vibe, that quite clearly isn't there on purpose, perhaps that shadow isn't necessary, i made an example here.
