It's okay if you decide to
Wednesday, August 1, 2018 - 06:39

It's okay if you decide to not include the license (this means you keep all the rights and basically prohibits others from modifying and sharing the program), it's just important to know about this. A lot of people want to share their programs freely but don't include licenses simply because they don't know it's a thing - that's why I mention it.

@IKSLM If you decide to add the license as you said, GitHub has a support for this - you can add it with a few clicks. There's a button to add a license somewhere, you simply pick one from the list and you're done :)

Very nice example of free

Very nice example of free culture remixing, thank you :)

The tile generator is still
Tuesday, July 31, 2018 - 22:23

The tile generator is still not open source, you need to add an appropriate license to be able to call it that (at least I haven't found any license, it's best to use the LICENSE file). Now it's only source available.

Anyway, it's a very nice idea :)

Also BTW, you can be both a programmer and art-capable, just keep on trying :)

And thank you for sharing under CC0.

Reminds me of the first GBC

Reminds me of the first GBC Harry Potter game.

I don't even think anyone

I don't even think anyone could claim copyright for such small font, since they'd have to prove beyond any doubt that there was no chance you accidentally made the same font and just copied it, which with such a limited number of possibilities on such small resolution is basically impossible. Besides these fonts have been around not only since the ancient era of computers when no one really cared about IP (and so we can't know the original author), but much earlier since the time people started creating stitching patterns - I myself digitized one stitching font, which has long been in the public domain. So to sum up, I guess we're in the okay :)

Why did you add more licenses

Why did you add more licenses when you use CC0?

Beautiful!

Oh, you're creating Uebergame
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 - 13:13

Oh, you're creating Uebergame? I know that one, awesome project. I've seen a few resources from the game here at OGA, but the archive you linked is really huge. Wish I knew about it sooner. Adding it to my favorites right now :-) It definitely needs more publicity.

By the way thank you for sharing under CC0.

Awesome, thanks :) I found
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 - 11:18

Awesome, thanks :) I found some textures there's a lot of, such as wood, and some are desperately lacking - e.g. modern house doors. I found a lot of doors in one pack, but only old, damaged ones. If I have time, I'll probably make a texture pack myself and will fill it with things I found lacking.

Yes, textures took most time

Yes, textures took most time probably.
