No need Piacenty, there is already an older version im working on, its only 3k polis and i like it more. besides im halfway done with it. Thanks anyways :)
Hi Piacenty, actually im working on the low version of this model on my spare time, you did an awesome work on this one, the only but i can say is that the torax is supposed to be skin ripled with muscles, which always seemed to me to be too homoerotic for my taste (no intended offense to anyone here)
There is no doubt the pipeline to produce 2d assest is much easier than 3d; whereas 3d needs lots of knowledge and work on different fields(modelling, uvmapping, texturing, rigging, animating) 2d assests just need some degree of artistical sense, your programs of choosing and mostly is about modifying your base model to get the needed sprites (in cases you directly dont need static ones).
Normally the needed time to produce 2d is much shorter, which means more productivity and variety of assest from the same autor, this assests will share the same style and quality overall; meanwhile the slower production of 3d means you will get only a few models from your average 3d contributor, nowhere enougth to fill all the needs of a 3d game, and forcing to get models from a different person with a different style. And normally the results of that mixing are not good at all, producing a ugly mishmash.
So i would say 2d wins because of abundance of assest and easiness of modifications and creation.
Some sugestions, press F3 to save only the model in a screenshot (i dont care about your blender screen); set to soft the model if it has round shapes (T -> Shading -> Smooth ), it saves on polis and looks better, what you did can be acomplished with way less polis, you shouldnt start adquiring those modeling vices so soon. That you are giving it away its no excuse for you not to properly do it.
Not bad, but with some modifications would look better, for starters i would shortern and replace the tail with a smaller vertical rotor, make the back of the wings 90 degree, change the gun on the wings for missile launchers, a bigger cockpit glass and replace the gun on mouth with a exposed gatling-like weapon. Especially if you want to make it into a sprite you need to oversize certain details like weapons so they are visible

Your models are simple and have a nice shape, is there any chance you will texture them?
Thanks, this model is going to be used in "Open Dungeons"
