I tried it today, its clear its just a start by the lack of content; but there are lots of things that i liked:
- Very fluid combat, lower Hp makes for fiercer battles
- Class have corresponding stats, tanking is for warriors, magicians are physically weak... a few hits and you are down, like it should be.
- Ammo for weapons, i love it, in Empyrean, melee characters are crap, even if you make one you are constantly using throwings axes; this limits that to something realistic, ranged were way too overpowered.
- Enemy skills, like the queen spawning, the dark orb from skeleton knight or the fireworks from the lich.
- Big maps with lots of baddies
Things i didnt like:
-very basic content and just one quest.
- maps barely decorated
- I had to restart 3 times because i entered places i shouldnt storywise before its turn (lich room, skeleton knigh mushroom circle)
-I had to cheat to beat the bosses, they were too strong and i had no way of grinding for enougth levels
IMO its a pretty nice start, i like how fluid it feels compared to Empyrean.
The good thing is that they are ready to use, you only need to find the way to export to your format of choice, many are already integrated in blender. Im pretty sure there is a tutorial on how to do it in UFO:ai forums since blender is their 3D program of choice for models. Its not hard at all; also being realist, the chances of someone doing that for you are very low. You are better off investing a bit of time learning how to do it yourself, its not that hard.
Thanks to you, its nice to see some of my work used, i think the models that fit you better would be flare´s since you are going for a low res-pixely look:
They are already animated (albeit a bit basic), so that should save you lots of work.
Also, even if its too soon to optimize, i think you should desaturate everythings colour and use a more "pastel" like look; it makes things blend easier in the eye.
Hi guys, just dropped in real fast for a question; Dorkster, are you planning to use any of the material from the unnamed mod(i think that was the name)? it did have a lot fresh models, like horses, giant spiders and new enemies, its a shame if it remains wasted and forgotten.
Same here, drop the pics and the beta whenever you want. ;)

They are totally supporting of any libre game, that should at least give you some exposure and maybe help.
