This character looks like it has some potential. It may be pretty difficult for others to use as is, though. Any chance of a "fleshed out" version, or layer separation?
I really do think your work is good. But do not sacrifice your well-being to do something you don't enjoy. If you are still deriving satisfaction from making this music, then by all means keep going. You do not owe others your talents if making this music is draining you.
One only feels the limits of skills when one pushes up against those limits, stretching and expanding them. You are already beyond the point where your limits used to be when you started. :)
@Tom Peter: I believe the confusion stems from the fact you have indicated above this is NOT your work. In which case, you don't have the authority to say who can use the track and you are not the person people should be giving credit for its use.
It's your call, but it tends to make the assets a lot easier to find. If you do choose to edit the original, add this expansion, and request deletion of this one, I'll be sure to bump the original to the front as if it were a new submission. That will allow people to see the new features you've added.
You're not missing anything, I understood that part about the author field. It is a known bug. Until it is fixed, the best way to attribute the author is as I stated above. Specifically:
"I'm not sure how to specify an author so to be clear I didn't make the actual assets"
The author can be specified in the "Copyright/Attribution Notice" section. See https://opengameart.org/content/faq#q-how-to-credit for an example of the preferred way to give attribution in this situation. However, CC0 doesn't require attribution, so this is not required in this case. I still recommend doing so, but it's your decision.
Is this on Youtube's ContentID system? Given it is in your youtube video, if I add this song to my youtube videos, will I get a copyright strike or did you explicitly exclude it from the ContentID system?
Hey! glad you're back.

This seems better included with the assets it is expanding upon. Why not add this to the original Symphony players submission?

Dim required CC-BY, not CC-BY-SA. Is that intentional?EDIT: Fixed, thanks!
Nice!
