@looneybits: Excellent! And here we go in SMS format for all the SMS freaks out there... ;)
@chasersgaming: Gotcha, so basically it is 'officially' too hot handle this year! ;)

@all: Yikes! meant to get a post out with our schedule and asking for volunteers before the Summer Art Challenge in June but now it's a bit down to the wire for that. I am totally up for running the Summer Art Challenge myself though just to keep the train rolling. If someone else is keen to run the Summer Challenge, speak now, otherwise I'll write up a theme and start a thread for it.
@looneybits: SWEET!!! That looks so pro! you really put my old efforts to shame! :)
Any interest in doing a 'Made for the' variant for folks to display at start up in their games? we didn't get too much traction with that in the last Jam, but I still think it's a cool idea. Could pretty much just be the same thing with the words 'Made for the' stuck on the top.
@chasersgaming: why does everything say 'unofficial' on it this time around? I mean technically these jams aren't officially sponsored or run by OGA but at the same time, they're pretty much as official as anything gets around here. just curious. I will say, as a tag line, it does add a kind of an fun 'underground' vibe to the proceedings. Like somehow this Jam will be hosting the games the stuffy 'official' OGA jams couldn't handle! :)

@karmicRetribution: Thank you! Let me know how the tool works out for you. I was in exactly your shoes when I wrote the program, so if it can keep one more person from having to write their own utility for doing palette swapping I can die a happy man. :)
I did unearth a bug this morning where the debug text showing the raw RGB values for the colors can get confused. So I will probably be rolling out a minor bug fix release soon, so if you run into any issues or have any feedback for me, don't hesitate to let me know.
@Dimensionscape: Try pinging Joth for music/sound.
@dulsi: Yuck, that does look wrong :( I use SDL1 and C# for all my stuff and have never had an issue with the fullscreen support but I can't speak to pygame.
can't stop....
Game Boy variants...
@looneybits: Ok if I post these banners over on the itch.io forums for the game jam?
ps
slightly tweaked my SMS version, attached revision here.
plus a NES version...
and a DB32 version...
and a DB16 version....
ok I promise to stop now.
