got my ratings in! Had some fun playing these. Hard to pick a favorite, but i most remember Villiagelord. JIROU, Roman Run, and Haydenwoffle were all really strong, as well. Oh yeah, Prototypical DC was fun, too.
got a laugh out of pheonix shooter.
i think it would be cool to work in teams to create more fully formed entries next time around; nevertheless i enjoyed the jam.
@spring i did not find your game confusing in the least
on the cabat race rts thing... would the opposing race be like humans that use technology to achieve different stats and abilities / unit types? That might be cool. Just total unit customization, but one race uses genetic engineering and the other just engineering...
@spring thanks for gfx props (that's where all the time went obviously) and yeah the gameplay needs an overhaul... the idea was that you have on-board missiles and you have to match or near the orbital velocity and inclination of your target in order to achieve lock... ech...
@vinnNo.0 that fps looks pretty good from the video... looks like it could be a one-of-a-kind if finished.
yeah, i was super amped, too, but then my boss comes in last week and hands me a stack of TPS reports up to the ceiling. Sux. I will still try to get a simplified submission in, because the jams are awesome and i wanna keep up the participation!
@withthelove i appreciate your thorough reply, and i agree those are not good reasons. i would include such assets.
for the jam, i was planning on making a sort of dry-run version of the larger game im working on, based on the concepts with totally fresh code and new assets... but if i make something i really like and want that to be one of a kind in the major project, i would not want to release it.
but what i think i'll do is just keep those assets out of the game-jam game and make new, open, models for the jam, then post em here.
i guess i really do have to participate now that ive caused all this trouble!
@withthelove i don't think anyone would ever use the rig, yeah. So long as i know that organizers are open to privacy in one or two items in case i come up with something i don't want to share (or can't... like i make an aircraft that too closely resembles a protected design or something) that's good enough for me.
all-oga is a good goal though, don't get me wrong! if i participate i will be posting everything i can.
regarding rule 2, so we have to post absolutely EVERY asset that we use? all 3d models? all animation rigs? all fonts?
i have one or two things i would like to remain private. One of them, for instance, is an animation rig for a tornado effect which would spawn particles and etc... if i dont post that here, i am disqualified?
i can adjust my plans if we have to post EVERYTHING, but i just want to clarify.

gonna start checking these all out today
well i was 5 minutes too late.
i started this yesterday (the first opportunity i had) and almost got a playable thing done, but alas it was not to be.
here is the archive of the build i tried to submit to itch, if anyone's interested. It's not great, but maybe i will develop it further who knows.
