Personally, unless it is very good and not overly verbose, I find story, beyond what the player actually participates in during play, to be obstructive and annoying. I want to play not sit through a movie or page through a short novel.
Have a couple standard durations as well as custom. A traditional ye-olde-days length and a fast turn-around length more suitable to the heightened pace of the modern world.
I haven't tried it yet as I'm not at home, but the timeline (with frames subordinate to layers) looks very nice. This could be the first pixel editor with (in my opinion) proper animation editing.
Now with a full set of pixel editing tools and palette editing tools it could be the mythical holy trinity of pixel editing.
EDIT:
Tried it and, yes, this is the way an animation interface should be. Very nice.
Added scaler selection and simple seeded PRNG. Checkboxes are a bit iffy at the moment (I hate HTML checkboxes/radios) so you'll have to manually reseed.

Sweet. Reminds me of the turrets from SS2.
You make no mention of licensing. "FREE!" =/= Free.
Yes.

Let's not go to the internet. It is a silly place.

EDIT: Got checkboxes working as intended and added a second scaling stage. Different orderings of scalers can produce quite different results.

Every vector graphics program I have ever used had tracing functionality. This includes Inkscape.
