LPC Enemies?

Submitted by Gaurav on 6 January 2025 - 5:58am

Liberated Pixel Cup

I noticed there is no concept of LPC enemy sprite sheets yet. Enemies are typically drawn as large or much larger than battler sprites in games. Smaller ones for when there are multiple enemies on the screen, and larger ones for bosses. Unfortunately, most (but certainly not all) of the pixel art enemies I see on OpenGameArt.org are much smaller than the LPC sprites, and the "bosses" look puny compared with them. We would need to somehow have standards for enemy sprites while not restricting their size too much. They need to be "in scale" with LPC sprites.

2D Art

Hi, I'm sbird, and I'm learning how to pixel art!

I'm making a platformer where you have to try to get materials to build a raft to escape a deserted island. I've made a tileset that looks beachy and the resources (water bottles, sticks, logs, and rope)

how should I improve my pixel art? The tileset looks okayish, but the resources don't look good at all. Is the outline too much? Any tips for me to improve my pixel art?

It reuses the wonderfull graphics from RottingPixels:

Tiny (16x16) character animation/poses for open-source space combat/trading game

I'm making a space combat/trading game called Starfarer.  You fly around the galaxy, buying and selling goods, fighting off pirates (or becoming a pirate and attacking innocent freighters), engaging in missions and side-quests, and upgrading your ship until you're rich enough to buy your own moon somewhere and retire.

Level Design Tools for Various Games

Hi everyone,

If you're interested in level design, I’ve forked a few games that either come with built-in level editors or use standard formats that you can edit with available tile editors. Let’s dive into the details:

Anyway, here is the link i hope you people like it, is not long is not funny, but at least hope it can be entertaining.
