I have absolutely no idea how to compose melodies, and I'm so anxious I could cry. I've tried a lot of different things, but I just can't come up with a memorable melody. I don't feel like I've improved at all, and I've only been able to create short, strange songs. I'd really appreciate some encouragement and advice on how to compose melodies. Would it be possible to use this song in a game scene?

This is how I began about 20yrs ago. To this day I still know little about music theory but really enjoy trying new ideas, and I think that's the point... to keep trying!
Keep everything you make as you never know you may find yourself reusing something later. I also think of it as proof of work against use of A.I. claims.
I am curious though, what software / DAW are you using to make these?
