Nice game. However, one would usually assume the shields slowly regenerate over time while not shooting - or that you've got an active ability to restore shield points (which massively increases heat). EDIT: You should probably allow restarting after the game is over.
Anyway, I've created a ship from the ship building parts and isolated bullets from the Xeon sprite sheet. You may use them under the same licenses as the original pieces. Oh yeah, and there's no need to credit me, just credit Redshrike.
Is it really necessary that all starships are created from these building parts? While this would ease the creation of ships with a coherent art style, I think it's rather difficult to build large, complex ships that way. Here are some other top-down space ships you might want to have a look at:
Looks pretty epic, at least from what I can see on the screenshot. However, don't you think 60 mb are kind of huge for a single model + textures? Anyway, good work.
Thanks. I'm glad you understand that we can't host textures from cgtextures because of their non-free license.
You might consider taking a look at burningwell.org for future works; they host about 2.6k public domain textures. Alternatively, whe've also got some nice textures here on OGA.
I've created a ship from these parts for this post and thought I'd share it here, too

Nice to see you around again TRBRY ;-)
Ooops, of course the due date is Feb. 10th! Thanks john.
The problem is, voting currently works via favorites, and since you didn't upload your submission to OGA in time, how should people vote for you?
Hehe, nice concepts!
Sorry Elim, but since you didn't submit your entry on OGA before the deadline, you won't be able to participate.
