Awesome backgrounds and more awesome that you choose to release them under Public Domain. I just wish they were bigger as i started developing a little spacegame myself but in a 2D environment in the browser.

By the way Zabin, check your tags on this picture - you forgot the commata between the words. You made them one huge tag, which propably noone would ever search for. :))
Hmm, but the alpha channel is now broken, so you still need a dark background, otherwise one would notice the black pixels at the borders. You better fiddle around with the magic wand tool, selecting the background and then delete it with alpha channel. Or you could select the items with the magic wand tool, invert the selection and then, on that selection, delete the black color with Color -> Color to Transparency... (don't know if you got that menu entry, maybe that's a plugin at my side)., then invert the selection, create a new layer and paint black where the items are missing the color.

But the same glitch as the other one: There is a 1px bright border. You only see it when having this picture over dark background. Can you remove that and reupload?
Downdate: No, it's not mandatory to credit if the author doesn't want/need it. You can always modify all CC licenses to your needs. The Attributes are just patterns, you don't have to follow them.
I love this piece. I'ts perfect for an easy first level of a space shooter or a quiet space sector.

There is a mistake on the left bottom one. Look at the bottom yellow part and compare it to the one on the right - shadow is missing.
By the way: I don't understand the gender icons here. It's the same hat on both!?
