Thanks surt, I'm still learning what each license means. If somebody could explain the difference between CC-BY and CC-BY-SA I would love to know! Thanks in advance.
"Yeah man, all I want is credit. Anyone can use these for anything. Thanks!
-Hyptosis"
I've been looking through Hyptosis's new tiles comparing them to the ones already saved on OGA and there is more then 50% more new stuff. There's a lot of new cool stuff. Here's an example :-]
I drew the wick burning and learned how to make animation in Gimp :D
Anyways, from the last reply from him a better license would be the same license I've been using, CC-BY-SA, because of requiring attribution. I like being credited and he would too so that license is better. Thanks Bart for teaching me about the licenses.
Do you guys think I should bother him again to clarify that if he wants to require attribution to go with CC-BY-SA or just be nice to get attribution with CCO. He says "all I want is credit" so that means CC-BY-SA right?
I PM Hyptosis through newgrounds and here's what he said,
"Actually I think a lot of the cream of the crop is already on there! But feel free to distribute it anywhere you want, have a good one man!"-Hyptosis

I saw somebody mention on OpenGameArt.org you were making all these tiles free for the public. Since OGA is strict on having a license on the art we were hoping you would be ok putting all these Public Domain (CCO). Which is the best license I've came to realize if you want the art used by as many games as possible. I wouldn't mind submitting it to OGA if your too busy to do it yourself.
Best Regards, Zabin
He didn't specify CCO but seeing that all if his art on OGA is licensed CCO I'm sure thats what he wants.
Hey Danimal, if you take the honors on submitting his art to OGA I think it would be nice to include his minor request,
"I'd prefer some minor percentage of ad revenue as a royalty for use, but it isn't required. I really enjoy making this kind of art, I hate to see it go to waste hiding away on my storage drives."-Hyptosis
Wow I love all of his tilessets. I suggest Public Domain (CCO) because more games would be able to use them with that license. Seems like thats what he wants by making them free.
I was thinking there is a dark side of the force and a light side of the force so here's a quick recoloration. Maybe the lightknight shouldn't have horns? Looks better with the horns I think but for variety I think it would be better without. What do you think?
Awesome variations Bertram! I like the re-colorations on my new bush :-] I was tickled to see you worked on it because you must have liked it, otherwise you wouldn't have bothered. :D
I was hoping you'd make the same variations as you did with the big tree. I'm glad you like them. Looking forward to seeing you use them :)
I was planning to finish the house soon-ish and it'll be good practice as I've never drew houses before.
Thanks for your input on the bush, I thought it might be too bright. I'll try and darken it up some whenever I get time. Maybe adding the violet shading like the trees on the bottom right like you said will make it fit in better. I meant to do that while drawing it but got lazy.
Edit; Oh yeah talking about shading I added shade to the ground under the medium tree. I don't know if it's even necessary (I haven't tested it yet) I should probally erase it because the trees already have shading with violet.
I made 2 smaller versions of the big tree and a new bush. I also changed the dark green that didn't look right in my new water tiles and moved the house down so I have room to finish the roof tiles. I'll probally have this tileset filled with variations in a week or so.
I added your grass to grass variation and added you to the attribution instructions.
The 2 trees only took about 1 hour each to make because I just used free select to copy parts of the big tree and paste it together over a outline of a smaller tree. The bush actually took me alot longer since I had to draw all new leaves. Is it too bright? I used the pallet colors from the tree. I might try doing some re-colorations on the bush.
I really like this submission and thought I should give you my input. I agree with what artisticdude said about the original being metal-ish looking but I also agree with you on ice being a variety of colorations.
I'm hoping Dusk get's revived/modernized by Lou as it seems like he is still interested in this game. When or if that happens, I'm positive we will use all of these Golem recolorations. I've taken a close look at each sprite and thought about names to call them in Dusk. Your first version I would call a Metal Golem (sharp pointy head), second version a Rock Golem (more grey, rounder head), artisticdude's Ice Golem (the bright blue and green tones remind me of ocean water), and Mumu's Fire and Dark Golem's. Already thought of possible quest items to go with each one ;)
Seeing such nice pixel art makes me want to make a game to use it. I'll give it a shot at learning Java programming to try and help revive Dusk. Good work everybody on the variations :D

It'll be my pleasure to upload them. I'm going to wait until I get him to say "CCO" before uploading them so no-one has any doubts.
