I could do that.  I was going off of the license put up by VividReality.  http://opengameart.org/content/lpc-full-plate-golden-armor

Saturday, January 12, 2013 - 04:57

Preview of what I'm working on:  I've divided up the Walkcyckle animations into individual pieces, which all look good on their own, and when properly layered (Head/Hands/Spaulders/Chest/Feet/Legs) are indistinguishable from the original.  I'm also trying to expand it to all combat poses, but that's taking a bit longer, thanks to the completely awesome spikes that are on this set.  I need to touch up the hat a little, there's some bits of shoulder still peeking out.

The only issue I can find so far (Chrome 23.0.1271.101 OSX 10.7) is that for seemingly random combinations of screen width and font size (some small, some large), it'll send the search results to the bottom of the page.  Otherwise, it's pretty well behaved.

The trouble with large binary files is that your repo is going to store a copy of every binary blob you upload - that can get very large, very fast.  It has another area where you can upload files (like executables) to the github PAGE via the web, without actually committing them to the repo.  This allows you to get the executable up onto GitHub without bloating your repo.

I need these for my game, thanks!  I've added it to the Universal Sprite Sheet as well.

I'll admit, $7.00 for something that's in Beta seems quite....  Unorthodox.  I've never heard of someone charging for a beta before.  Even if it wasn't, I paid $5 for a finished, 20+ hour game on the app store this week and $7 for the entire Humble Indie Bundle...  From the sound of it, you might have more bites if you dropped into the 0.99 cent range?  I'd personally be MUCH more likely to evaluate someone's beta if that beta was free (just not over the next couple of days).

You also just called us "lazy/afraid".

I might try extracting the helmet and doing a basic recolor of the regular plate pieces to recreate the rest of the outfit in the Universal Sprite Sheet.  That'll mean we end up missing the cool shoulder and elbow spikes, but will mean that we do acquire the slash/spellcast/thrust/shoot/hurt animations.

Ha, no worries, Pixel!  I want to make my Master's thesis (on Seneca Iroquois stone tool use) into an archaeological video game some day, so now that the doors are properly placed, I could use these (to map out one of the towns I studied, which is full of two-family Iroquoian homes).

Great work!

That is very cool!  If it can be broken up into slots (helmet, breastplate, hands, legs, shoulders, and feet), I'd be happy to add it to the universal sprite sheet!
