Would you consider making your art here available under the OGA-BY 3.0 license---that is, waiving the restrictions in the CC licenses that prohibit your work being used in a game with DRM (i.e. on the iOS app store, or with Steamworks DRM)? DRM sucks but it is a requirement of several platforms, and many are unwilling to use CC-BY or CC-BY-SA art for this reason, even if they would otherwise be willing to provide proper credit and share the art.
As an artist, I want to make my art as easy to use as possible, so I am trying to make more stuff available under OGA-BY. But to do that, I need permission from the people whose art mine is based on :)
Hey, this is really neat! I really like the colors of the fabric; the colors work extremely well for that. I must say, I am not a big fan of the wood. I feel all the wood looks kind of drab, in comparison to the relatively saturated colors used for woods in the base assets.
Despite your messages to the contrary on Discord, I *do* care about color palettes and consistency! :) (With few exceptions, I think you'll find that---for the most part---my art sticks quite closely to the original LPC palette, and when I add other colors, they are generally colors that others have used already elsewhere. That said, it is kind of ad hoc, so I have been trying to put together a more comprehensive list of the colors I am using to be sure they are consistent.
Although you will probably hate this idea, I am also considering constructing a franken-palette, with browns and greens from the base assets, plus grays and saturated colors from your palette :) I like your purples, blues, pinks, etc. better than those in the base palette or others, at least for furniture and fabric and such.
However, I believe all of the Hyptosis art in question is *also* available here under CC0 https://opengameart.org/content/mage-city-arcanos , so you're fine , but you should probably include a link to that in your credits. The only other item I'm having trouble placing is the tall bottles and wine glass in Clutter.png ... are those from Hyptosis too? If so, where?
Hype!! The new shops and the denser towns look great (although I think the towns could use even more decorations!) I will try it out later this evening.
I'm trying to get more art to be available where the authors have waived the clauses of CC-BY about DRM. Some people are very concerned about this, even though I don't think it's a huge deal.
I want to make derivatives of Pierre's swinging animations, and I'd like the result to be available under OGA-BY. I know I'll need his permission too, but I need your permission first.
I don't think it's too confusing to license parts of a submission differently. I have done this for several of my assets---I just say something like "if you use the whole thing, the licence is CC-BY-SA 3.0 / GPL 2.0+; some parts are available under other licenses too, see credits.txt." You already have a nice explicit credits file, so you could just add "(OGA-BY 3.0+)" to the lines where you are the only author.
Quenching station is a great idea! I will definitely add that.
I really love the idea of a sword being forged. But that would probably require a hammering animation ;) I could try and make this one work https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-smash-weapons , but I would really like to do the hammer swing properly, which is more work... Hmmm...
Update: bigger hearth, anvils, some other tools. I'm going to do some more variations/combinations of the tools, racks for the walls, etc. Maybe some racks of swords, spears, shields, etc.
Hello! I used your bottles fairly extensively here https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-containers and here https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-alchemy to make a bunch of different glassware. Thanks so much!

Anyway, a few licensing comments:

Let me know if that is clear enough!
Hello,
Would you be willing to license your original contributions in this submission as OGA-BY https://opengameart.org/content/oga-by-30-faq , in addition to the current licenses?
I am thinking in particular about your very nice axes and pickaxe, which have made their way into this submission https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-smash-weapons .
Quenching station is a great idea! I will definitely add that.

I think it's a great idea! Key will be to have solid "base" portraits and some stylistic guidelines for consistency.
Another possible source/base: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-portraits-remix

What else does it need?
Yes! All the door animations are independent of the burning/smoldering animations.
Smelters and blacksmith's workshop? Needs anvils, more hammers, lots of tongs, crucibles, etc. May also do a bigger hearth.
