My one criticism is that, as nice as these look, they are not practical (yet) for games. They are too high poly. There needs to be low poly versions, but I guess somebody can do that using the Free-ed model.
Ru on older hardware? I get 9 fps (max) and I only got this laptop in October!!!
I have an axe to grind with the world of software development being slowly shoehorned into web browsers. So please take any hint of criticism as a dig at this global trend.
I'm always in favour of new FOSS games and wish to see every project succeed in it's goals.
In that spirit, I look forward to seeing future improvements. :)

Known Issues
Although we work hard on fixing all issues, there are still some things we know already are not fixed. Please refrain from reporting these, if you find issues in Blender 2.55 Beta that are on this list.
Potential crashes when opening new window (user preferences, rendering, window duplication)
Brilliant!
Could be good for projects such as Pioneer or Vega Strike.
I mean, it's nothing that a few LODs couldn't solve, but there's no LOD info in the post. :)

Collada export is not so good. Not sure where you get your info from?
Currently it doesn't support armature (skeletal) animation. Export to .dae is missing many features in 2.49 and in 2.5x.
The good news is that it has been promoted to an official Blender feature (previously was a third party script) and is being actively worked on:

Bad news is that the latest 2.5 release (2.56a) does not support animations with COLLADA afaict:

What tools do you use?
Did you design these? I really like the cube (topleft).
Please do post a sprite with . Although render it without the long shadow - perhaps top-down and mostly ambient light.
For the sprite, I'm thinking perhaps 36 rotations i.e. every 10 degrees. Also an additional 'firing' effect render as well at each rotation.
Am I being a bit pushy? It's a compliment!
Another idea would be some good thruster / weapons effects to go with these.
They are amazing. I love the detail. Do you have a smaller fighter pack to accompany it?
Also could you elaborate on your workflow? What tools did you use to make them?
I look forward to (well, hope for) more uploads like this Skorpio!
