so I'm nearly done with the basic tiles and soon will move onto the colour and more complex design but before I do I would like to know if there will be loops and if so how large should I make them?
its all good. I have the colour pallet for the genesis and I have been working on sonic style tiles similar to that of green hill zone so once I finish the set I'll send it your way for you to have a look and judge.
it looks great however I would just like suggest that you make things a little more defined. the art style isn't my thing but I know that even making something like this is hard so I give you credit however somethings stand out like one of the plants has an outline and the others don't which is a little jarring for my eyes or it might just be the colour pallet. here I have the tiles in the colour pallet I use. this is a great tile set and I LOVE the backdrop you provided.

ok so after playing it a bit I noticed a few things
1: some tiles don't line up properly which doesn't effect the game in any other way other than it looks bad.
2: going up hills when not running takes FOREVER
