First of all, thanks for using my assets :)

The game looks really interesting, I always like seeing physics thrown in. Many features as I can see and the special powers are a really interesting touch, wish I could help you get some more custom made graphics for the ones you had to use different ones for - can't though because that wouldn't be fair for the game jam :( But send me a message after the jam is over, I'll gladly help you!

If you don't mind, I'm sharing this on my Twitter.

That's really cool, makes it look way more like an old Amiga game.

Thanks for using them! No donation box, I've already been "paid" for them using The Open Bundle. You can use them, guilt free :)

Indeed, if player or NPC is behind a wall simply make the wall a bit transparent. That's how many games do it :) Good job on this, looks great!

Not related to mods, but related to Minecraft:

I think the whole Minecraft payment structure was a mistake from the beginning.

Imagine the following: Minecraft was F2P and had a monthly subscription. Every month there would be a big ol' update adding numerous of new content to keep people interested in playing, much like other MMO's and F2P games. Mojang would be able to profit from these game updates, since people are paying a monthly fee.

But instead people don't pay a monthly fee, they pay a set amount once. The problem is that Minecraft is such a creative and open ended game that it NEEDS new content to keep people interested. Mojang doesn't earn any money from these updates however, other than new people buying Minecraft (which honestly, with the millions of sales is getting a more slim audience every day).

Monthly fees cannot be introduced however, people paid for the game and suspected unlimited play. There's no way you can introduce DLC or a monthly subscription at this point.

Simply said, Minecraft needs the Mod API to stay afloat. Mojang should stop adding content theirselfs, they're bound to be doomed.

Certainly will, the .ken files will all have different styles and options. Here are two screenshots, as you can see the options are different with each .ken file. Also the style of the sprites can be completely different, they don't all have to be flat sprites.

Everyone will be able to create .ken files.

It's not really a process but rather just combining simple shapes to create object. If a shape or detail isn't necessary for the user to recognize what it is, it'd be removed.

I'm in the process of creating a program that will allow users to easily edit and create new tiles in this style. Resulting in users being able to create literally millions of tiles. I'll make a forum post regarding this soon.
