I'm not sure what software
Thursday, November 17, 2016 - 08:30

I'm not sure what software your using so il have a go anyway.it might help.

for each different shooting angle your character has, I would consider this a different 'state'. And each state will have a different Sprite/animation or 'tile' in your case, either holding a gun or rifle, shotgun etc.

on those sprites you can select a 'origin' point so when your projectile is leaving the character it with leave from the 'origin' point or 'centred' point.

you may be able to code it in instead of using a different Sprite for each weapon, like using a variable instead.

Holding gun, 'origin'/'centred' point is x.y

holding rifle, 'origin '/'centred' point is x.y.

It might not help at all, but you never know.

If there is anything you wish me to change or i have made any mistakes, let me know so i can put it right ASAP. or if you have another link you would rather use.

Not sure what you need to do
Sunday, November 13, 2016 - 23:15

Not sure what you need to do here without platforms, my assumption is that the backgrounds would need to move to give the illusion of going up a mountain, for which you can set the background to move in different directions as you move, are you using layers?

when selecting a room in gamemaker, go to the settings tab, here you can select which background you want to move, also there is a direction speed that you can set, 5 for right, or -5 for left for example, and so on, you will most likely need a variable in the object events to determine when your player is going in a direction, you can also get that variable to change the direction of the background, but it is a bit hard to guess without a image/concept idea to see what it is your actually trying to do.:)

I have no issue with the style or your work, it's really good! my response was that someone made a similarity to your work with someone else's with a particular license, which has a no derivative conditions, and whether it would be safe to use, my opinion on it was no from what I see, others will make there own opinions. :)

@DezrasDragons as you have spotted the simularaties, in my opinion, I would say no, sadly. However the author says "use only my base, not my Sprite sheets" so it may be ok, but it can't be CC public license as the authors license is different, which makes it conflicting and is somewhat confusing whether this is safe or not.

:edit, ignore: didn't see other posts when I wrote this, sorry.

The music.ogg file here is not the original name file?

you could maybe try your google settings and check the your download history? If you find the file there it may give you the source from where it came.

Maybe download it again, your windows might say you have it already, if you have take note of the file name, it may give you a specific date, so maybe we can narrow the search down a bit, or maybe a file I it that will give you the name of the author? I'm clutching at straws.
