I think lukems-br can use the CC-0 dices from Openclipart instead of the LGPL one from Wikimedia. So that he can release it under (less confusing and more permissive) CC-BY instead of GPL.

You can use groups and box selection. Maybe you can use a custom fill pattern but I don't know how.

As stated, its license should be GPL because the eyes image you used is only available under GPL
As far as I know, you cannot change gpl or cc-by-sa to cc-by; they stick.
