LPC walk cycle with varying speed

Hello LPC fans,

Using the LPC Spritesheets, one faces often the problem that there is no run-cylce.

I found out today, that one can use the 8-frame walk cycle, and create a 6-frame (124578) and 4-frame (1357) variant, which have different feels to it.

- 8-frames: roaming/relaxed
- 6-frames: purposeful
- 4-frames: hasted

Hope somebody finds this helpful.

Cheers,
DrJamgo

Actually, there is a runcycle: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-runcycle-and-diagonal-walkcycle
No assets for it though, as far as I can tell.

There's also a current discussion on how to improve the LPC animations that might be slightly relevant here: https://opengameart.org/forumtopic/improving-lpc

Hi,

I am aware of the run-cylce submission, but as you pointed out, one would have to redo all assets.
Thats why I hinted at an acceptable alternative.
