Getting together the licenses of the character base assets

Hi everyone

I am not a racist. So I would like to have as many races populating my game world as possible. I also would like to not get into jail and properly credit artwork I have and will be using.

This is actually not that easy - spend over an hour now :o. So I was hoping to get help from you guys. I did make some good progress but some things I just cannot figure out. So far I have got:

Missing list tl;dr:

  1. Human female shoot, thrust animation
  2. Skeleton shoot, thrust animation
  3. Skeleton green recolor
  4. Lizard red recolor
  5. Orcs green variant and grey recolor
  6. Wolfmen attribution issues: what did Matthew Krohn (makrohn) and William.Thompsonj contribute?

Missing:

  • Who did the skeleton animations for shoot and thrust?
  • Who did the green recolor?

orc.male.[walk/hurt/slash/spellcast/shoot/thrust].green

by makrohn (Matthew Krohn) (C) CC-BY-SA-3; https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-male-sheets

Missing:

  • Who did the recolors of the orcs (grey, other greenish versions)?

faun.neutral, minotaur.neutral

by Evert (C) GPL-3 or CC-BY-SA-3; https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-faun-and-minotaur

Wolfmen: https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-wolfman

Missing:

  • As I understand: The whole thing was done by Benjamin K. Smith (BenCreating) using the character bases from Redshrike and Wulax. But what did Matthew Krohn (makrohn) and William.Thompsonj contribute?

I don't know about the recolors, but I can help with the others.

Human Female Shoot/Thrust

by Matthew Krohn (makrohn) https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-ladies

Skeleton Shoot

by Johannes Sjölund (wulax) https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-medieval-fantasy-character-sprites

Skeleton Thrust

submitted by Rhimlock, based on work by Johannes Sjölund (wulax). Rhimlock was unclear how much they contributed, but said there was no need to credit them. https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-skeleton

Wolfmen

Matthew Krohn (makrohn) is credited because of the female thrust/shoot animations.

William.Thompsonj is credited for commissioning/contributing the wolf I took the head from. https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-wolf-animation

You should also credit castelonia for commissioning the Wolfmen.

Hello, I am sorry this is such a pain. Looks like BenCreating has answered most of your questions. I believe the remaining random recolors were mostly done by bigbeargames, as discussed in this thread https://opengameart.org/forumtopic/lpc-spritesheetcharacter-generator-at... .

If you check https://github.com/sanderfrenken/Universal-LPC-Spritesheet-Character-Gen... , all assets in castelonia's current generator https://sanderfrenken.github.io/Universal-LPC-Spritesheet-Character-Gene... should have attributions in that file.

Let us know if you have other questions.
