Forge
Description and Notes:
Forge is our attempt to build a massive roleplaying game using only web standards (html, css, javascript, canvas), using no external game engine. We may have been too ambitious, and did not finish the game, although what is there shows where we were going with it. There is also a map editor.
We had a lot of fun with this, it was a great experience for us as a son-and-father team. It may be relevant that the vast majority of the work was done by Azlen, who is 11 years old. Dethe (47 years old) contributed help and some organization work, but this was very much Azlen's project and he called the shots for technical issues and approaches.
You can see the (unfinished) game here: http://dethe.github.com/forge
