Awesome! I might have to do something similar with the LPC character bases ;-)
You know, I was planning on doing that with the LPC bases eventually. But chances are good that I wouldn't get to it for a long time, with all the work I am doing for Stendhal right now (unless the Stendhal project decided to switch to LPC sprites).
I also want to make "riding" sprites from Cabbit's bases, that would work with your horses. But I'm actually hoping that Cabbit or diamonddmgirl would be interested in doing it instead. And I was thinking the same thing about the LPC bases. I actually was looking around to see which artists had done heavy editing on the LPC sprite bases to see if they would be interested in the task. But maybe this is something that you would be interested in doing bluecarrot16? ...eventually of course. If I remember correctly, you've said that you already have a bit of a lineup with tasks.
I was thinking of doing two "riding" sets. One for casual walking/trotting, & the other for when the horse is galloping.
Version 0.2: Cleaned up outlines & added palette PNG images.
