Neat! I'll admit, I was a bit nervous that if/when you saw the game that there'd be some concerns about the usage of the artwork. So, I'm super-happy that you're enjoying the game. :D
I'll get in touch via PM to discuss further, as I'd love to collaborate further on the game with you.
Good to hear that FF 4.0 is handling this better. :D
The "Chrome loses audio" bug is a known issue, and is one of those bugs I mentioned that I'll be filing against Chrome. The audio disappears from other pages using HTML 5 after that triggers, so it's definitely at the browser level. HTML 5 for the masses, indeed. ;)
The weapon changing firing direction is intentional - the direction the weapon fires in also mutates, as one of the potential variables. Sometime soonish, I'll be adding a between-levels shop that will let you tweak the weapon's parameters so you don't get stuck forever with something you don't like.
GAR is a definite influence, to be sure. With tuning, the weapons in my game should get more manageable, but even in GAR they'd get crazy from time to time.
Glad to hear those of you who can get it to work are enjoying it! At some point in the future when the game mechanics settle somewhat, I'll probably translate it to some other, more stable platform (Flash or iOS or something).

(*ahem* apparently I wasn't logged in for that last post - sorry about that!)

Which browser are you using? And was it just the game that stopped working, or did it take the browser along with it?
