Re: public domain concept art

I don't trust the human-readable version. the actual license, which is what counts, doesn't mention 'commercial' 'sale' 'pay' 'money' 'gain' 'profit' 'revenue' (except the last two words in a disclaimer). so I'm not sure there is a license at all. I think the last time I tried to read the license text it seemed more like a 'terms of using this site' text rather than 'terms of using content from our site'.

also: the human-readable version implies that selling the source images is prohibited, which is incompatible with all licenses on opengameart.

morguefile isn't compatible with opengameart. I don't remember whether the license is non-free or just too confusing for me to understand. http://www.morguefile.com/license/morguefile/free_photo.html

http://gpl.imageafter.com/ is freely licensed

Re: p0ss's texture pack 1

If the other artists would agree to release under a free license and the coders too, you might want to put the project on sf.net or something :)

About rendering: doing 3d models for 2d games requires less optimizing (and detail, since the view is quite far away) so I guess it might be more effective than drawing if we're lucky :)

Good to know you're sticking with an open project :)

Hey, thanks for this pack! Glad the UFOAI guys told you to spread it here too! :)

What's the game they were made for originally (if it's no secret)?
