Yes, I did follow his tutorial!! Here is the link to Jaysen Batchelor's youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_cjN86adGCRzVAzMz0S3HA It is such a great tutorial and I will be watching it again soon to refresh myself! I recommend anyone who wants to make their own assets to check it out. I am fortunate to have photshop, so I followed it in that, but I'm sure you can use gimp, inkscape, etc to manipulate the same effects :)
I could see a teleportation, lol... hadn't thought of anything outside of an attack magick, thanks for your comment!! :D An on hit effect would be neat too, like on hit spell cast. I can see it like a demi/gravity effect that reduces HP by %'s.
