I'd like to ask if they are meant to be used in an animation or not. I tried to do so, but I don't manage to make it look natural (the changes from one sprite to the next seem to be too big).

And now I ask mysself, if it's me who doesn't manage to animate them properly (maybe you could provide some hints then) or if the sprites are just not meant to be used in an animation, but to be used every one as a single sprite.
