You're right, they're just made with Illustrator's 3D effect and since I'm still learning they're nor perfect nor the angles are the same as the blocks but I thought that they fit the isometric blocks better than the simple 2D objects (just personal preference). And since I made this I thought I could share them. Making them isometric, 1 by 1 is very time consuming and I don't really have much time right now, in the future I might remake them...
you're right, just as I read once, the background can't have too much stuff because it may distract the player. problem here is that I started doing the bg first and then I thought "hmm well, I could make some tiles" but by the end I got lazy and didn't change the bg, my mistake. I'll update it tomorrow, thanks for noticing!
sure, I may do that later this week. I didn't do it already because this was just an experience and even the cubes have some flaws. but later in the future I'll try to make some better isometric assets
thank you! yea, right now I'm starting to create some traps and items to collect etc etc, but I guess I'll only release them sunday because tomorrow I'm away from home all day
@dannorder that's a nice suggestion. I just finished making a grey-ish ground to make it look more like ash and less like lava, like you said, but I'm having a hard time to send the updated files, opengameart is crashing midupload and even the upload is reaaally slow so come back later to check the updated tiles
@capbros ahah of course not, those kind of problems just make us grow a little bit and it was a pertinent issue so I also feel better now that it has been solved
thank you everyone for your support! @BBG yea, I will try to do some top down space assets for sure! I'm just finishing a desert (almost done) and volcano platformer tiles and then I will try to do some space assets!
@mold now that you say that, I guess you're right. I used the # because it said to use it but most of the artists don't use them so I will drop them too
@ I will upload a desert tileset in a couple of minutes!

Sorry about the confusion!
