please take the time to look at this collection and vote by adding a favourite(if you havent already done so). the asset with the most 'favs' will win 'Best Contributor' prize.
Prizes: Once the jam has concluded i will create a Results thread' and annouce the winners and comment on what to do next.
well, just under 7 days to go! i trust that you are all doing well. :)
very much looking forward to playing all the games submitted, and im taking a keen interest with the banner stuff. I never knew the banner work would become quite a focus. Perhaps maybe i could of created a prize for 'Best Baner', like who uses the banner in the best way or something, maybe next year we could do that?
Don't forget if/when uploading assets created for your game to tag 'summerjam' so i can place it in the 'Best Contributor' collection, Also, im aware that it could take sometime to prepare/pack your assets ready for submitting, and that this could take time away from the development time of your project, so im more than happy to extend the time to submit assets to OGA to a week(7 days) after the jam submission ends. this should allow you to focus on your project and worry about the assets during the first week of the ratings time. :)
Cuphead is the intelectural property of Studios MDHR Corp, (they even knew that) he/she does not have the permissions needed to use that work. The submission was only a 'graphical asset' and not a game, and quite right, it used no OGA assets at all. Im normaly notified when theres activity on the jam page, but i wasn't on this occassion, strange, even so, the submission has been removed. :) thanks.
I'l definatly be doing them, its what i do!, ive done them for every jam and game ive rated. there on my website which sadly is under maintainace and wont be back up until the new year, but they are on my twitter page. :) I may make some certificates for this jam so the winners can print off.
Think medicine storm reconises that not everyone quite understand licenses fully well, so they just want to be clearer on the 'trademark' side of things for this asset maybe.
For example is the name 'Midi' part of the trademark for KLC? / "There are rules on how he can be used"
"the origin of KLC must not be misrepresented" / "your free to change him into something else"
the 'copyright/attribution notice dirrectly' links it to 'Kyrodian Legends' which is a stipulation of the license, even if changing the sprite, the license still requires you to share the title of the assets as well. as that title has 'Midi' in it, if this is trademarked or part of the KLC then there is no getting away with this assets association with KLC, regardless of what changes you make.
What medicinestorm suggests would make more sense and lessing the questions around the license attribution and associated links to KLC. Lose the name 'Midi' from the title, change the attribution to read Kelvin Shadeing/Nick Kovac instead maybe. Then there is no worries for the user, and no worries for the trademarked KLC to be misrepresented. :)

Skorpio - spaceship construction set 1 & 2 are under a GPL 3.0 or CC-By-SA 3
you can't share this as CC0? you have to use either the two licenses from the original mentioned above i think. :)
yeah, i think it has something to do with times i suppose, I'm UK, so he/she probly submitted it last week and i'm only just seeing it, hahahaha.
Yep, had a shave and a haircut, knocked 10 years of myself. :)
