Thank you chaosesqueteam, I love it when a moron stirs and makes an ass of themselves. Most, just like you, cannot spell or use correct grammer which makes their claims even more outragious. I love the increasing paranoia and decreasing facts. I have had my fix for the year, next thing is to ban yourself to punish OGA.
It seemed like an Arch Linux package error but it was a user error there is a mods folder in ~/.config/flare as well. I can confirm that putting mods in the correct folder works.
As I understand it mouse attacks are just that they are not move and attack so if the target is out of range the the basic swing attack will miss, they will attack air.
The same with holding the lmb after the target is dead you are still using the basic swing attack, as there is no target it may seem you are attacking a dead corpse.
The direction of attack confused me to start with, the lmb is the attack the position of the cursor is the direction of attack, so you have eight attack directions depending on where you place the mouse cursor, I think the engine does compensate for a little inaccuracy so it seems if you are attacking North then the attacks will also do targets N West and N East.
Adding the mods you suggested is not straightforward for many users.
Really users should not need to add mods to /usr which needs root access but they should be able to add them to ~/.config/flare. It should also be better described how to add mods, the flare-mod-noname states it should be added above core and alpha, it is not clear whether it should be at the top of the list i.e. above or at the bottom of the list i.e. overriding the others. I found it needs to be in the middle, at the top does nothing at the bottom prevents tile display.
Polymorph does describe install better but then it should be the only mod installed.
I have some other comments forming about the engine and once I have checked out some mod codeing I will post them seperatley, I am hoping to start a mod next month, taking on board some of TrentS's comments and other things posted, The engines does need some more mods to show it off.
