Hey it was easy!

Bart change the code from

<a target="_blank" data-fid="39698" type="audio/mpeg; length=52257633" href="http://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/BGM%20Fun%20vol2.mp3">BGM Fun vol2.mp3</a>

to

<a style="float:left;" target="_blank" data-fid="39698" type="audio/mpeg; length=52257633" href="http://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/BGM%20Fun%20vol2.mp3">BGM Fun vol2.mp3</a>

<div id="download-link" style="float:left;">

<ul class="links inline">
<li class="\">
<a download="BGM Fun vol2.mp3" href="http://opengameart.org/sites/default/files/BGM%20Fun%20vol2.mp3">Download</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>

<script>
var a = document.createElement('a');

if(typeof a.download != "undefined")
{
   // download attribute is supported
}
else
{
  document.getElementById('download-link').style.display = 'none';
}
</script>

It will create a "Download" button that will download the file rather then link it.

Note: The download attribute is not supported in Internet Explorer, Safari or Opera 12 and earlier versions so I hide it if it doesnt exist.

Humm I think we could add a "Download" button pretty easy to the site I may look into that if i get a chance...

if you want a prebuilt drupal
Friday, April 4, 2014 - 20:32

if you want a prebuilt drupal module you can use https://drupal.org/project/plupload its using a older ver of plupload but they working on it

I just figured a .js was easier as it shouldnt be that hard to use it with OGA (knock on wood) :D

Seems when people are uploading on a high latency connection its really slow, could use resumable.js or MultiPortUpload to make it so that it not only resumes but sends multipul chunks at once so high latency is less of an issue

Also OGA fixed download "time remaining" this last month so support Bart on making OGA better!

Thursday, February 20, 2014 - 00:10

The $2000 funding goal was for bart to work on OGA as a second job thats exactly what he was saying ^.^

Also the site upkeep is only part of the work, you also want to develop new features etc.

The cost of the hosting is only a small portion of the overall cost of keeping something like OGA running. (however the server spec's that OGA requires to run with decent performance would probably suprise you and runs more per month then $50 by a large margin)

If you really think that OGA can be hosted for $50 I challenge you to find someone who will host it for that and point them out to bart.

Also recruting quality site admins, who dont get paid, is much harder then you might think.

donations however dont have any system of checks and balances, you can donate 1000 to someone for feature x but if they dont deliver then what?

For companies or even individuals who need something specific this could potentually be a great thing.
