Currently I only use Discord and I am not an active member of DW, but a few others that I talked to are. Though I came to the conclusion that presenting a project without a single resource made specifically for it would lead people to disregard it as a serious effort. The collection you gathered has been a great help, a lot of items are already covered. Weapons are pretty much in place, with some having multiple options to choose, the crossbow has been the real challenge, as the reload animation has a lot of frames. But without good replacements for the robots this wouldn't go anywhere.
Anyways, I'll aks if one of the other collaborators to post their work on DW if they want, but the way things are going this is a project that would take years to reach a playable state, though I'll try anyways. I don't think I have anything else to post here, I had some important links that I had to be sure to not miss, but this page already is too long for it's own good.
I found a few crossbow 3D models that could be used. Both of these websites have the same license, the 3D models can't be sold on their own, but a derivative work which is not a 3D model can be used as wished, including the possibility of a CC0 or BSD license. Since these will be turned into sprites I think there's no issue using them.
@Technopeasant I may have been to naive to think it'd be easy to start a project like that. CBM has some other projects he's working on, so I wouldn't be so sure of his help. But I have got some updates, Amuscaria, also known as Eriance, allowed the use of the original sprites made for Demon Eclipse, only a few bits by id Software need to be removed. Wereknight also allowed the use of any of the sprites he made for Freedoom, Blasphemer and The People's Doom. The only real issue I'm still after is a good crossbow replacement.
Hello, someone by the name of CBM on Doomworld is making sprites for the robots using 3D models, it's only going to take some time. Meanwhile you could use Death Egg's blanked out IWAD and start replacing some textures and decorations.
