I made a thread asking some questions about color palettes a few months ago, and Bart replied with some helpful information and a conversion of the Crawl tiles to DB16 (http://opengameart.org/comment/28011#comment-28011). I don't know what the resulting tiles would be licensed under, but maybe they could be a good source of new tiles after some touching up?
Those are some nice wall tiles! They make it much easier to design maps without worrying about making all the corners fit. The new monster sprites look great too! Thanks for the update!
The monster animations are awesome! But, I'm wondering; is it possible to make the floor/wall tiles into terrains in Tiled? I'm not very experienced with the tool, and everything I tried resulted in very strange effects.
Hmm, I see. As someone who's absolutely inept when it comes to art of any sort, whether it's drawing from scratch or manipulating it in GIMP or Photoshop, I really appreciate the information, guys!
Almost every time I look, there are more sprites added to the set. This is pretty awesome; thanks for the recolorings!

Huh? No, I mean, changing the name from 'Tile Layer 1' to 'grass' fixed all of my problems.
Oh, so that was it! I feel silly and relieved at the same time. Thanks a bunch!
