I was looking around for hours trying to find something suitable, and just when I was about ready to give up, I found this. This is perfect for my use-case! :D
I'm using some of these for breakable blocks in Hexoshi, the game I'm working on inspired by Metroid:
I just want to say that I'm using this in a game I'm developing, with a modification: I've cut out a portion of it which is reasonably loopable (that portion starts at 48.730 seconds and ends at 2 minutes and 30.000 seconds), as well as everything before that, and put them in two separate Ogg files. The "start" file plays first, and then the other file loops.
I'll post a link to the game (Hexoshi) when I set up a project page for it. :)
> I disagree about Chris and Sid having the same personality. I see Chris as a fighter and Sid as a technical nerd.
I see those as roles, not personalities. :)
Honestly, neither Chris nor Sid are well-developed characters, at least not in the game. That's kind of why I don't see any difference in their personalities; they really have no personality. But anyway, I wouldn't have a problem with trying to draw some more personality into them. Heck, if that's done, I'll change the dialog to add that personality in, because the two main protagonists being stoic blank slates is kind of a drag.
> The dialog does mention that Chris and Phoebe wear the same (or very similar) headgear. So new graphics probably should keep it that way.
This is true. I think this is a pretty much just a throwaway line, though, so I'm not particularly concerned about it.
> Age: From my perception, Chris through Ursula are around 20, Krass 40 or up, Kline in his 30s. Crew I do not remember at all.
Sure, those estimates sound reasonable. The only particular detail I think matters, though, is that Chris is clearly much younger than Krass; Krass habitually calls Chris "boy".
I've uploaded a video of the game I'm using this in:

I'm using the bat in a game I'm making called Hexoshi, which is a Metroid-inspired game. I've uploaded a video here:

I might also use the frog as another enemy (depending on how well the design I'm thinking of ends up working).
It looks like they will. Thanks! :)

Well, 2D-Retroperspectives here has done almost all of this! All that's left to be done is fixing the rusty spring animation.
