Hello, Something I noticed, on the development thread theres more sprites thaty didnt make it to this submission such as the guy in the cloak or the mage looking npc.
Thinking about making a Platformer Turn Based RPG
The platforming aspect will be about patience and trickery all while you try to avoid battles because they will be hard and unforgiving. This will make the player rely on checkpoints to advance.
10 Stages w/1 town for each stage. They are reminiscent of Akristas Ring for Nes.
Percentage Battle System: On map a Level 1 enemy has an 80% chance to be hit. Having a Sword boosts the percentage and magic boosts it x2. Late game it can get hard with out items and weapons as the sword can dull/break. In the event that you are out of options you can bribe some enemies with money to run away.
Zelda nes Style Hud: Hearts and 4 icons for equip slots.
Story: You are the first Sword-Mage Class ever and a failed prodigy mage from ancient times cast a spell around the surrounding world stunting all mages of their power. Being a Sword-Mage you havent been effected 100%. You can weild your sword in battle and use magic only if you can find mana pots. You must endure the lands and complete quests in order to survive just to save all magic in the world. This is "Legend of Mana Quest" (working title) (i know legend of mana exists and this game has nothing to do with it)

this is a great tileset, all you need is dirt, hill or raised grass in the style of the dirt/water. and a generic house with like 3 icons to make different, armor, items, inn, and we got a game on our hands.
You should make some kind of competition for your sprites to be used in a game for fun. like a 24 hour game contest. this site needs to do that kind of stuff with sprites this good.

i had a game in mind using the original graphics but this colored tileset is sparking new ideas.
