Solarus is a free and open-source Action-RPG game engine, licensed under GPL, and written in C++. It runs quests in Lua, and can work on a great number of platforms.
Solarus also features a game editor called Solarus Quest Editor, written in C++ with Qt to help you create your game.

can I use this for commercial use?
Sorry for not responding sooner jeda_15. Yes, it can be used for commercial purposes as long as you give proper credit to the author, Diarandor as requested. But be careful if you are using DRM protected software as, if I remember correctly, the CC BY-SA 4.0 license prohibits using the work with such software. It would be wise to look over the CC BY-SA 4.0 summary.
