hi,

i'm doing a simple multiplayer submarine game, which should feel a bit like comanche4.

this is what i got so far: http://vimeo.com/40777826

can someone help me texture these:

  * http://opengameart.org/content/space-transport

  * http://opengameart.org/content/turret-0

   * http://opengameart.org/content/simple-skiff

i'll use them as enemies :) rought texturing, maybe just metal and something to make cockpit more visible would suffice. i think the textures should be rather "bright" (not sure...)... i'll leave it to the artist :)

  * the transport would be pretty big, think 3-4 trucks on top of each other. this will be thing the players have to guard. it's rather slow.

  * the turret.. well, would be truck sized on the ground.

  * and the "skiff" would be small, swarming enemy.

would be aweomse! cu

note: it would be easier for me if the texture is one big image per ship. rather then multiple materials / images per model.

unless that's a huge hassle. if i have one texture-image per ship, it would make my life a lot easier.

k - maybe now i'm asking for too much, not sure

You know, normally people doesnt like to texture others people models, or for the matter even their own, since its an awful lot of work, and if someone does (which would be very welcome for the OGA community) it will take a lot of time for the 3 models to be ready. So despite being bad for OGA i suggest you try and look for the models you need on blenderswap, mostly anything you find there is ready to use.

Thank you for the tip.

I honestly didn't know texturing I so hard - I tried myself in blender, and I think I can do it. Will post the terribly ugly result later this week.

I have optomised and textured the simple skiff for you

http://opengameart.org/content/simple-skiff-optomised-and-textured

I had a look at the other two, but they require a lot of work to fix before unwrapping, they are just sketchup drafts, not continguous models that can be unwrapped. .
