[LPC Expanded] Socks & Shoes
I held off longer on this than I wanted to, but its finally done, I’ve finished all remaining Socks and Shoes assets!
All assets except Pennomi and Laetissima’s Ghillies and Luke Mehl’s Slippers are also available in OGA-BY 3.0. However, OGA-BY 3.0 is not in the full asset release due to these assets only having CC-BY-SA 3.0 and GPL 3.0.
Here’s the complete list of assets included:
-
Shoes (ALL OGA-BY 3.0)
-
Basic Shoes by Wulax
-
https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-medieval-fantasy-character-sprites
-
The Shoes on the extra frames used pieces of Eliza’s shoes, but I reshaded them slightly and added a dark border to the top.
-
Male Hurt wasn’t properly reduced in colors, so I fixed that one.
-
-
Revised Shoes by ElizaWy
-
https://github.com/ElizaWy/LPC/tree/main/Characters/Clothing/Feminine%2C...
-
Slightly lighter color compared to Wulax’s shoes.
-
These are the same from my prior update, but I did clean up the assets to make sure there weren’t any stray pixels in the shoes.
-
Additionally, these now support “Male” bodies. Eliza’s assets originally only included “Thin” bodies.
-
-
Sara’s Shoes by Redshrike, William.Thompsonj
-
Sara’s shoes are so similar to Wulax’s that I just reused the versions of the shoes I made for Basic Shoes on additional frames, but I tried to reshade them where possible to be similar aesthetically to the original Sara Shoes.
-
All existing frames I could easily copy over, though, I kept those the same as the base assets.
-
I also made a couple of minor fixes to the shoes such as missing pixels.
-
For the recolors, I just made the blue be the second-darkest color for all the recolors.
-
-
Boots (ALL OGA-BY 3.0)
-
Simple Boots by Nila122
-
These boots are a bit darker than Eliza’s versions. They also have less variable shading and are a tad bit taller.
-
Some assets for the new frames borrow pieces from Eliza’s boots, but I tried to make the designs as consistent with the old design as possible. Mostly I reshaded them along the middle portion of the boots for consistency.
-
Revised Boots by ElizaWy
-
https://github.com/ElizaWy/LPC/tree/main/Characters/Clothing/Feminine%2C...
-
Slightly lighter color compared to Nila122’s shoes.
-
These are the same from my prior update, but I did clean up the assets to make sure there weren’t any stray pixels in the boots.
-
Additionally, these now support “Male” bodies. Eliza’s assets originally only included “Thin” bodies.
-
-
Relm Boots by JaidynReiman (Me)
-
https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-relm-outfit-pieces-2-kimonos-2-sleev...
-
These are the Boots I made to go with my Kimono update. I’m calling them “Relm Boots” because they’re designed for my OC Relm.
-
Two Variants: Rimmed Boots, Folded Boots
-
Also with a “Plate” base overlay for the bottom of the boots for a “steel toe” effect.
-
I created new versions of these to shorten the toes to mesh to the feet shape like other shoe assets. The old versions are still available, but I think these look better.
-
It honestly took me way longer to redesign these boots than it did to “finish” additional frames for all the other shoe assets…

Socks (ALL OGA-BY 3.0)
-
High & Ankle Socks by ElizaWy

Tabi Socks by JaidynReiman (Me)

-
These Tabi Socks I made to go with my Kimono.

Sandals / Slippers
-
Slippers by Luke Mehl (CC-BY-SA 3.0, GPL 3.0 only)
-
Due to the small size it actually wasn’t that hard to add these. A lot of the new frames are pretty stylized.
-
Ghillies by Pennomi and Laetissima (CC-BY-SA 3.0, GPL 3.0 only)
-
Due to the small size it actually wasn’t that hard to add these. For the most part, I reused existing frames as much as possible, as I was iffy on trying to design new frames from scratch due to the straps.
-
I guess these are technically Shoes, but they look kinda like Sandals to me.
-
I cleaned up some of the existing “Male” frames of these because they weren’t properly cleaned up and the west/east walk animations were off. In addition, the male toes extend further than female, so I made sure to include those as well.
-
Sandals by Nila122 (OGA-BY 3.0)
-
Due to the small size it actually wasn’t that hard to add these.
-
I’m a bit nervous about how these turned out. For the most part, I just ended up copying pieces of the existing frames and shifting them around with the foot movement to keep the sandals aesthetic, but let me know if there’s areas that look like they could use some improvement.

* NOTICE:
Base sprites used in preview image are part of the LPC set and were not made by me.
The Universal LPC Character Generator is a great place to get a full list of sprites to use:

I'll take a couple days break probably, then start working on Male Shirts. I'd like to have Male versions of LPC Revised Shirts done in a few weeks if possible, though I can't guarantee how quickly I'll get them done. I've been very nervous about starting these because shirts take way more effort than leg assets.
I only just finished Ghillies and Sandals today, so those and Slippers are not yet available on the ULPC. They should probably be ready in a couple of days, though. The rest of the sock and shoe assets are already available, though.
Yass!
Finally, my feet will stop getting blisters on my adventures :)
There's technically some more feet assets I didn't add in, but I opted not to worry about those for now. Those are (at least) the Hoofs and the Armor Shoes. Armor Shoes/Greaves I plan to do with the Armor update of course. Hoofs I have no idea when I'll do them... maybe another furry asset update or something. Maybe I can make a horse-like tail. Another hypothetical one which isn't in the shoes category on the ULPC, but is still a feet asset, is the Pegleg. In all honesty the Pegleg would probably be quite easy to finish (most of it is just a mask to remove the foot around the pegleg), but its not really fitting with this release.
