Little help for us poor artistically challenged programmers?
Dear artists, friends, fellow liberated pixel..ers?
Some of you are already sharing some of your work on the 'in progress' thread on this forum, but understandably, many of you are not (collaboration or not, this is still a contest!)
However, for us developers without artist (or otherwise) friends, we have no idea what we can expect from you at this time. So I would like to ask you, in the kindest way possible, could you take 5 minutes and put a post in this thread giving a short hint as to what kind of graphics you're working on? Something short and non-spoilery would still be ace. Perhaps.
I'm making some eastern themed building tiles, boats, animals and sprites.
Or similar so that we can form a better idea about the game we could make once the coding portion of the contest starts.
Thank you so much!
This was actually posted by me, I hadn't realized I wasn't logged in.
TMM, feel free to make requests as well. Perhaps you have a great game idea, and some other artist is stuck not knowing what to create.
I've been mostly making character clothing - currently I have a dress inspired by Irish dancing dresses and an in-progress set of business-style clothes (ie. collared shirt, tie/bowtie, vest).
I also have been working on character facial expressions with laetissima.
Thanks a lot for your information!
Maybe some more people willing to share what they are working on in this manner?
Also know that if you lurk on the lpc irc channel, often people will showcase their work there. You'll have to be patient, but it's worth the sneak peeks!
