Licence issue

Hi guys,

Since the LPC involves using not only graphics created by competitors but also various other graphics; we started to search new assests and we found! However there is a problem. Authors didn't specify the licence type but wrote fallowing statement

"You can use it, it's public, but only if you give me credits" or smilar statements.

What I'm asking is obvious. Can we use it with current licence state? We're only interested with these kind of assets where authors didn't specify the licence but stated its use method.

Unfortunately the statement you quoted is not clear enough.

You need to ask for (explicit) permission to use under one of the licenses specified by the LPC rules.

This can be achieved by writing to the author/posting a comment under their blog/submission page where they shared the art, including a link to the license for which you are asking use permission under.

Legal talk can scare some copyright holders away but it's necessary, I'm afraid.

Thank you for quick reply. We already contacted with authors, however, we may not get answers for all arts.

Anyway, Thanks again for clarification.
