Any Good Free to Use Sprites For a New Game?
Hello! Sorry if this is in the wrong Place im new to the site....
Anyways, Is there any good big (not to large) free to use charcter sprites?
I Need them Facing All Directions as well (if possible) and Maybe legs forward on the (Meaning Walking In the Direction) sprite sheet, Im sorry if im not making sense Im new to the sprite thing...
I need them for my new game im developing on my own in vb.net using XNA Framework the game is called ArtofBlood...
It an 2d RPG Game.... Possibly Soon to be 3d
I already Have some sprites I took off of Google Images, I know even tho I credit I could get sued, I tried making my own sprites in gimp, but failed And reached out to here for help....
PS: This Game is Free I will be making no money off of the Images or The Game

Here are two art collections that have sprites that might work:

You could also use the site's "BROWSE" section to find the art you want to use. Granted, the search tools are less than stellar, and items are not categorized very well, but you should be able to find a lot of very useful graphics. Check my submissions and let me know if you like the style of anything there, because I would consider making more of something if I knew it would be used.

Revolution sprites are OK, but LPC sprites are more interesting IMHO. The Revolution collection reminds me of the GBA DBZ RPGs. I noticed there was the "dragonball" tag on all of them, too. I wonder if that was more than an inspiration. Anyway, the Revolution weapon set looks nice: http://opengameart.org/content/the-revolution-items

I don't think a 2-day-old thread can be resurrected. I'm pretty sure it needs to be dead longer. If you don't have a clear idea what you're looking for there are tons of other sprites here on OGA. Do you have any more specific traits in a sprite you'd like to use?

I need Something That Looks Like a Warrior, Sword on the Back, Scratched Up Face, etc (Sorry I have no idea how to explain this).
Do you have a specific style in mind? Top-down orthogonal, isometric, side scroll? Maybe some of these examples are less than perfect but they get the idea across:
