This is my rendition of Kit, the mascot of Firefox, based on Firefox Japan Local Community mascot, named Foxkeh.

Cute. This is my favourite character of the game so far. The tail looks a bit out of place though. It might be better to start the tail gradient with the fox's main colour to connect it somewhat to the body.

We did just what you suggest before coming up with this look.  The reason we have to change is to make is visible that it is a tail that this guy has and not a third arm as what my brother first thought of. :P

It's actually hard to animate a chibi character given its small feet.  If you can try edit for yourself a good looking walk/run animation and share, that would be appreciated.
