A remake of an earlier game I created in 2010 to mark Remembrance/Veteran's Day. Experience the horrors of the Western Front and try to make it out alive.

Mix distribution

hi, I've realized that I've submitted almost 29 mixes to this site, and they encompass such wide spectrum of genres, moods and styles that it would be difficult for anyone to find any suitable track without organizing them.

The tracks are now organized as follows:

1. Ambient, Chill, and Introspective

These mixes feature softer, ambient, or downtempo styles, often with chill or introspective moods.

Anybody know how much it'd cost to get a tileset like this made?

Love this tileset, and had an idea for a commercial game I could make with it, but I'd prefer to own the art. Can anybody tell me what the going price would be to make a tileset like those linked above?

Cheers,

AI tools in music

Hi. I have a question regarding AI usage.

Say for example I use it to generate a chord progression and then I recreate it from scratch in my software with some tweaks and build more upon it. How is such music going to be classified? What kind of license is it going to be? Will I have to declare that the AI was used to generate that progression?

Arkanoid/Breakout game art suggestions and help

2D Art

Hi! To help me learn gamedev/Unity, I've been creating an Arknoid/Breakout clone. It's actually a sort of remake of an old ZX Spectrum game called Batty.

I have zero artistic talent and so used generative AI for the game sprites, but it really doesn't look great at all. Screenshot and a gameplay video are here: https://daftapplegames.itch.io/retro-racket.

I would dearly love to replace all the 2D art with something more authentic, consistent and appealing.

Hi, a time ago I worked on a fork of a A 1k-10k mania-styled rhythm game.

The game is open source and with license GPL 3.ß and was created by "Agori studios".

I worked to make the game run on mobiles and now all the missing parts to make that happen are in place (however some tracks are horribly hard to play on a mobile screen).

The advent of AI music

I think it's time to broach the topic of artificial intelligence being used in music production. New technologies are emerging that allow people to generate entire musical tracks using nothing more than a simple prompt and the click of a button. Although one might doubt the power of this seemingly simple process, modern AI is actually capable of creating very compelling music. I believe there are many issues to discuss surrounding this new technology.

Hi all --

After many, many years of work on an underground indie music discovery service, we're in early release with new apps built in Godot.

https://www.thevt.co

If you enjoy discovering indie artists, you might enjoy the vt. If you are a musical artist and would like future feature consideration (and/or want some good musical ear training), please submit a cover via our cover contest. Details on the website.

We've used some artwork from OGA:
