Prototype: confused/reluctant soldier armed with pistol. (Tasen scout) Complete 650X2 cels
A reluctant armored soldier, armed with a pistol and sent in the battlefield, despite having very poor training.
Beside being generally clumsy, this soldier has a lot of fear-surrender-doubts actions, it might even collapse as soon as they see an enemy, they can imitate some basic blows from martial arts, those that are easy to learn, but generally speaking, they are below average, and whatever the reason, it is clear that their mind is confused. (In the original game Iji by Daniel Remar the reason are generic combat-drugs, in my version the reason is much more grim.)
I forgot to mention that it has ordered palette, and since it wasn't a big deal, i added a version with just 5 colors+Alpha, in the preview image about suggestion you can see how in the last 3 example how such version can emulate Cga, GBC, and even Hercules graphic.
Some words about the original intended use.
Usually in videogames the hero/es meet formidable opponents, and very prepared foes, even when said foes are supposed to be generally clumsy.
(In particular, in the masterpiece "Shenmue" by Sega it can happen that a street thug carefully animated as a petty robber who never really learned how to boxe suddenly pulls out a 540° butterfly kick or a stone-breaker elbow drop, moves that requires megawatts of discipline and training.)
Beside this, the tasen scout is quite a sorry concept. The tasen leader Krotera, in the war against the komato empire, decided to militarize special needs people, in order to slow down and confuse the Komato in the close quarter battles, (and also to get rid of them, as they are perceived as a burden, in the militarized tasen society).
It can be said that to some extent the idea worked, since most of the komato soldiers are virtually unable to hurt a tasen scout.
Despite the unbridgeable superiority between any komato soldier and a tasen scout, psychological reasons make the tasen scouts the most likely to survive a confrontation.
